Explore the shoreline of Massachusetts. Both Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard bring to mind wind-swept dunes, marshland, lighthouses, shoreline and numerous opportunities to explore “The Cape” and the picturesque island of Martha’s Vineyard.
Enjoy a guided tour of Hyannis. Visit the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Memorial, drive near the Kennedy Compound, visit the J.F. Kennedy Museum, St. Francis Xavier Church and the Old General Store. Travel to the village of Sandwich for a tour of the Sandwich Glass Museum. Upon your return to Hyannis, use some free time to explore the town and browse in its shops. Today, a breakfast buffet is included, lunch is on your own and a dinner buffet with live entertainment is included.
Relax while on the cruise from Cape Cod to Martha’s Vineyard. On Martha’s Vineyard you spend a portion of the day sightseeing and visiting Edgartown, the island’s oldest European settlement and later visit Oak Bluffs with its charming “gingerbread” cottages and Island Tabernacle. Listen to stories of sea Captains of yesteryear and famous residents of present day. Return to Cape Cod in time for dinner (on your own). Today, a breakfast buffet is included and lunch is on your own.
Then it’s off to Cape Cod peninsula via the “Old King’s Highway.” Visit Provincetown, the site of the first landing of the Pilgrims. Enjoy a trolley tour of the town and its surroundings and a narrated whale watch excursion. Today, a breakfast buffet and New England lobster dinner are included while lunch is on your own.
After enjoying a breakfast buffet (included), it is time to say good-bye to Cape Cod and begin your homeward journey.
Expected time of return to Capital City Airport is 5:45 P.M., York at 6:15 P.M. and Hanover at 7:00 P.M.
There will be a breakfast and lunch stop (on your own) en route to Cape Cod and a lunch stop (on your own) en route home.
