Hop on board the coach and travel with us to Cumberland, Maryland. Arrive in Cumberland in time to meet your local step-on guide and board Mountain Thunder, a 1916 Baldwin Steam Locomotive.  Enjoy a scenic thirty-four mile round trip train ride to Frostburg, MD. You will have First Class seating and a delicious lunch (included) served in the train’s dining car.

Upon arrival at the Old Depot in Frostburg, Maryland, watch the train engine turn around on the turntable and then visit the Thrasher Carriage Museum.  This museum houses 50 restored horse drawn carriages that span a lifetime . . . from the child’s tubcart, women’s carriages, sporting vehicles, the family carriage, to the last ride . . . the horse-drawn hearse.

Re-board the train and head back to Cumberland, Maryland.  En route enjoy dessert (included). After leaving the train, you will visit Emmanuel Episcopal Church.  Here you will have musical entertainment by a local artist, see beautiful stained glass windows by Louis Comfort Tiffany and tour the earthen tunnels under the church.  These tunnels protected George Washington’s soldiers from Indian attack during the French and Indian War and one hundred years later, for many, served as the last Underground Railway stop in slave territory.

Coach leaves Cumberland, MD at 5:00 P.M.  Return to Hanover at approximately 9:30 P.M. and York at 10:15 P.M.
