Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center is again filled with blossoms during the 2010 Flower Show.  It is the world’s largest indoor flower show and the oldest flower show in the United States. This year’s theme “Passport to the World” will take visitors on a breathtaking floral journey around the world.

Travel to India, a land of colors, textures, scents and sounds that come to life in lotus-filled pools of water.

Visit the Netherlands, the perfect place to tiptoe through the tulips, a flower extravaganza filled with over 100,000 blooms.

Then it’s off to South Africa and its natural wonder portrayed through the vivid colors and patterns of the Zulu.  Their intricate, exotic beauty will leave you awestruck.

On to Brazil . . .  the heart of the Amazon jungle, unfolds amid an otherworldly canopy of sparkling waterfalls, tropical flora, and exotic wildlife.  Experience the wild rainforest!

Proceed to Singapore, the “Pearl of Asia,” for a luminescent tribute to the orchid.

Stroll through New Zealand, a rugged land of beauty, exploding with color and creations inspired by the wild flora and traditions of the native Maori.

In addition to major exhibits, you will find entries in the amateur division, hundreds of imaginative ideas for the home, horticultural, artistic and culinary lectures, demonstrations and presentations by world class experts, and a Garden Marketplace with over 150 vendors, all free to Show visitors.  On the Show Bridge, visit the bustling international market filled with earthly delights including silks and spices from India, weavings and carvings from South Africa and overflowing flower carts from the Netherlands.

Visitors may sample an international collection of the world’s wines and spirits, provided by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.  Daily tastings, held in the Grand Hall, located opposite the Exhibition Halls, are free with Show admission.

If you wish, you may remain at the Flower Show for the entire day or you may spend some time exploring or shopping in the downtown area.

The coach will pick up passengers at the Convention Center at 6:00 P.M. for the return home.

The coach will arrive in York at approximately 8:15 P.M. and Hanover at 9:00 P.M.
