Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center is again filled with blossoms during the 2012 Flower Show. It is the world’s largest indoor flower show and the oldest flower show in the United States.  This year’s theme “Hawaii:  Islands of Aloha” takes visitors to six main islands, oversized water falls, a waterfall of orchids, waves, rainbows, bamboo, lava murals, and large screens projecting wide island vistas.  Each of the six island exhibits has its own entertainment.  See luaus, hulas, craftspeople and storytelling every day.

In addition to the major exhibits, don’t miss free gardening presentations and educational displays that explore the latest gardening trends.  Visit the Garden Marketplace for take home products and Flower Show merchandise.  There are also food kiosks available throughout the convention hall.

If you wish, you may remain at the Flower Show for the entire day or you may spend some time exploring or shopping in the downtown area.  If you choose to leave the flower show for a period of time, be sure to have your hand stamped before leaving so that you may re-enter without having to pay an entry fee.
